In February 2007, the Shanghai Gold Exchange （SGE） traded 112724.5 kilograms of gold, up 62.36% year-on-year; the trading value stood at 18.63 billion yuan, soaring year-on-year by 87.70%. Platinum traded in February was 1354 kilograms, down 60.52% year-on-year; the trading value was 418 million yuan, down 55.21% year-on-year. Silver traded in the SGE totaled 5.07 tons, valued at 19 million yuan.
