The New Rural Construction and Urbanization of China's Western Areas

新农村建设是破解“三农”问题的有效途径,而农村城镇化是新农村建设的重要内容,是解决农村问题的重大战略。西部地区由于基础经济薄弱等方面的原因成为国家新农村建设和城镇化过程中的难点与重点。因此,在目前的新形势下,我们要正确处理好西部新农村建设和城镇化的关系,通过城镇化来带动新农村的建设,同时通过新农村的建设来促进农村的城镇化,以此推动西部农村经济社会的发展。

New rural construction is an effective approach to solving the ＂three agriculture ＂ problems - problems concerning agriculture, rural areas and peasants, and urbanization is the important content about new rural construction and the important strategy to resolve rural area problems. The western region is the difficult and important point of urbanization and new rural construction because of its weak economic foundation or some other masons. Therefore, under the present circumstances, we should deal with the relationship correctly between new rural construction and urbanization, develop new rural construction through urbanization, and at the same time promote urbanization through new rural construction to develop the rural economy of western areas.
