The fundamental principle and structure of PDP is introduced. And the method of testing the performance of plasma screen of PDP on the platform of notebook-PC and soitware MONITOR TEST are discussed, and some testing technologies are provided. Researches dedicate that this method is effective and simple, and is used to test, evaluate and select PDP in the circumstances of no having specified devices. The main performances of plasma screen, such as clarity, equalization of brightness, geometrical quality and contrast are introduced in detail, so that the general quality of color image of TV is evaluated.
