Yangzi Petrochemical Utilizes the Pyrolysis C4 Resources to Expand Butene-1 and Butadiene Production Capacity

The C4 output at the Yangzi Petrochemical Company （YPC） has increased twofold after expansion of its ethylene unit to 650 kt/a from 300 kt/a. As the domestic demand for butene-1 is increasing, the Yangzi Petrochemical Company has expanded the capacity of the butene- 1 unit to 30 kt/a from 15 kt/a and had put on stream this revamped unit to deliver the qualified butene- 1 product.
