古“三苗”新考——兼论“三苗”与南方诸族及楚国之关系

A New Textual Research in the Ancient Sanmiao:From the Perspective of the Relationship Between Sanmiao and Southern Nationalities and Chu

“三苗”的问题,是我国上古史和民族学研究的一个重要课题。以纸上文献与地下出土资料相结合,以研究尧、舜、禹时代南北统一战争与“三苗”的迁徙,并厘清三苗与蚩尤及南方部族之关系,以及三苗与楚国历史渊源。笔者认为“三苗”原是奄有今湘、鄂、赣之地的土著民族,在南方势力极大,其兴衰与我国上古时期南北统一战争的进程有关。

The issue of Sanmiao(三苗) is an important project in the research area of the ancient history and nationalities studies.This paper combines the paper documents and evacuated file,and studies the South-North war in Yao-Shun-Yu times and the emigration of Sanmiao,and clarifies the relationship between Sanmiao and Chi-You(蚩尤) as well as Southern clans.It also studies the relationship between Sanmiao and Chu(楚) .The author holds that Sanmiao was a native tribe living where the present Hunan,Hubei and Jiangxi are,and it was powerful in the South.Its prosperity and decline is closely connected with the progress of the South-North war in ancient history.
