To control the generation of space debris is one of the emphases of space debris study in China. We should understand the significance of the research on the mitigation of space debris from the point of view of the outer space environment protection. This paper briefly introduces the main achievements made in the field of space debris mitigation in China last year and the main ongoing research activities. The ideas for future research on space debris mitigation in China are also Odescribed.
