刘宋元嘉时期的中外军体制

The Military System Governing Royal and Local Forces during King Liu Yilong's Reign in Southern Dynasties

景平政局中,宋武帝刘裕初步建立的中外军体制迅速崩溃,刘宋皇权摇摇欲坠。以荆州方镇入主中枢的宋文帝刘义隆采取诸多措施,重建了新朝的中外军体制,并将其推臻极盛,刘宋政治也在这一时期达最佳状态,至有“元嘉之治”之誉。但由于专制皇权本身所隐含的各种矛盾无法克服,这一体制很快产生裂痕,文帝巩固中外军体制的努力以失败告终。通过对这一体制的深入研究,有助于更全面、深刻地理解元嘉时期的政治。

During the reigning years of King Liu Yifu （Jingping Years, 423 -424）, the system of royal and local military forces established by his predecessor （ King Liu Yu） fell apart within a very short time, putting the kingdom into the risk of collapse. Later his successor, King Liu Yilong, took a lot of measures to resume and reinforce the system. As a result, the kingdom reached its summit during the latter＇ s ruling years, known as the ＂Yuanjia Reigning Period （424 -453 ）＂. However, due to the many conflicts inherent of the absolute monarchy, fractures rapidly re-appeared in the system, and the King＇ s efforts to underpin the system that attempted to effectively govern the royal and local forces turned out a failure. An in-depth study on the system itself may offer a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the then political system.
