After the Cold War, the Moslem countries began to carry out democratic reform, for the reasons such as the internal demands and external pressure. Due to the different cognition and standard for democracy between the west countries and the Moslem countries, most of these Moslem countries didn’t make considerable progress. The governments of the Moslem countries are feeling great pressure from outside world, and trying to eliminate these differences. The prospect of the democratic reform in the Middle East is facing different possibilities for the contradictive demands coming from inside and outside world, and the governments may have different choices.
