摘要
本文依据Laufer等的词汇强度概念设计了英汉词汇强度测试题,考察了某重点大学非英语专业学生的词汇强度知识。结果表明:①词汇强度四个样态间存在难度等级,依次为积极回想(最难)、消极回想、积极认知和消极认知(最易);②语言综合能力与消极回想的相关最高,听力、阅读与积专炙/消极回想存在显著相关,写作与四个样态均不存在相关关系;③不同语言水平学习者对四个样态的掌握情况是不均衡的。本研究反映了掌握和提高词汇回想样态知识的难度和重要意义。
Based on Laufer et al. 's concept of strength of vocabulary knowledge, this paper designs an English-Chinese test of vocabulary strength and investigates the knowledge of strength of non-English majors at a key university. Resuits show: (1) that there is a hierarchy of difficulty among the four modalities: active recall (hardest), passive recall, active recognition and passive recognition (easiest) ; (2) that general language ability correlates best with passive recall, significant correlations have been observed between listening/reading and active/passive recall, and there is no correlation between writing and the four modalities ; (3) and that language learners of different proficiency levels have unbalanced command of the four modalities. This research reflects the difficulty and significance of acquiring and improving vocabulary knowledge of recall modalities.
