Thoughts on Livable Cities

宜居,是城市最基本的存在和发展的前提。宜居城市,首先要解决人的就业问题,着眼于解决多数人尤其是低收入群体的住房问题,处理好规划与建设、集约发展与合理密度、经济发展与城市生态、公共空间与非公共空间等方面的问题。

Livability is the basic prerequisite of a city＇s existence and development. Livability of a city shall settle the problem of employment and dwelling for most people especially the low-income, and coordinate well problems like planning and construction, compact development and suitable density, economic development and urban ecology, public space and private space, etc.
