如何改善英语新闻听力教学

On Improving English News Listening Teaching

在大学英语教学中,教师不难发现,大多数学生十分恐惧听英语新闻。这与传统的教学理念、教学内容以及教学方式有关。要改变这一状况,英语新闻听力教学必须符合英语语言和新闻英语的特点,将开放型的现代英语教学理念带入教学中,采取多样的教学方式,在最真实的教学内容与环境中进行。同时,使英语新闻听力课程系统化也是十分有必要的。

There has been a disappointing phenomenon in teaching English among college students in China, that is, most students would feel frustrated and helpless while listening to English news. This situation results from the stereotyped teaching methods, dull and rigid learning materials as well as the overlooked value of English news listening comprehension. This paper is designed to make suggestions on how to improve English news listening teaching in terms of teaching materials and teaching methods. An open teaching philosophy is suggested in English news listening teaching. The author also points out the necessity of making English news listening teaching systema - tized.
