China's National Development and Reform Commission has recently stated that the country has completed its WTO accession obligations of reducing import duties on automobiles and components. Starting from 1 July this year, China's import duties of passenger cars, minivans, and SUVs have gone down from 28% to 25%, and that of automobile bodies, chassis, medium and low power gasoline engines have been reduced from between 13.8% and 16.4% to 10%.
