从中国的国情出发,分析了高等农业院校坚持以农为特色的办学理念不能动摇的理由。高等农业院校要发展,必须建立与社会主义新农村建设相适应的学科和课程体系,积极参与社会主义新农村建设,为新农村建设当好党和政府的参谋,为农村的生产发展提供强有力的技术支撑。

Based on China＇s reality, this paper analyzes why agricultural universities should stick to being agriculture - oriented. In order to achiever further development, agricultural universities must establish their subject and curriculum systems in accordance with the requirements of socialist new countryside construction, actively participate in this grand cause by serving as the aide for the Party and the government and providing technological support for rural production.
