摘要
运用格莱斯(Grice,H.P.)关于会话含义和合作原则的理论,对四级听力对话进行分析和推导,以求在一定程度上说明其研究成果对英语教学的指导作用。
The present paper explores two of the most important linguistic concepts proposed by Grice——conversational implicature and cooperative principle, to analyze and deduce the implied meanings of the speeches chosen from CET-4 short conversations. The application of these two concepts in teaching practice is beneficial for English teachers, because they can help promote students' comprehension by analyzing the listening material from the perspective of pragmatic deduction.
