The author points out that,after entering 1990s,the stresses of the direct investment are on developing countries and the tertiary industry while its total amount increases fast.The main reasons of above changes include:the developing countries , econnomy grows up fast ,its investment environment improves well,the rate of returning profits of investment is relatively high and the word ,s industries are evolving .Based on the changes , trends of the direct international investment,China should correspondingly adjust its policies for luring foreign capital as follows:give foreign businessmen China ,s national treatment and provide them with the conditions for equal competition,make regional leading policies and attract foreign businessmen to invest more in western China ,decrease the too much restraints for service sectors and increase the ratio of drawing foreign funds for the tertiary industry ,improve the quality of using foreign funds and shift the pattern of using foreign capital from only seeking foreign funds amount to paying more attention to the efficiency.
