中西方私立教育起源及意义的比较研究

A Comparative Study of the Origin and Significance of Private Education in China and in the West

在人类文明漫长的历史长河中,私立教育是相当重要的一环,它不仅影响了公立教育的发展,而且为各国教育传统打下了深深的历史烙印。本文以中西方私立教育的源头即先秦与古希腊私立教育为研究对象,比较了中西方私立教育产生的社会背景、教育概况、教育理念等方面的情况,研究结论是:中西方私立教育特别是具有高等教育性质的私立教育造成文化普及和思想自由,对中西教育理念和模式的成型贡献卓越,对各国教育传统有深刻影响。

In human history, private education has played a key role, which has exerted great influ- ence both on public education and the educational tradition of each country. China＇s private education began in the pre-Qin period while the Western private education began in ancient Greece. The paper is a comparative study of these two types of education and focuses on their social and educational backgrounds and educational concepts. It concludes that both have contributed much to cultural and ideological diffusion and to the formation of their educational concepts and models and traditions.
