慰藉与救赎——《超人》、《缀网劳蛛》比较

A Comparative Study of Superman by Bing Xin and Laboring Spider by Xu Dishan

冰心和许地山均为文学研究会会员,同写“问题小说”,但二人风格颇多差异。即以《超人》和《缀网劳蛛》为例,前者注重宣传“爱的哲学”,是对现实的逃避和慰藉;后者侧重灵魂的升华,注重实现灵魂的救赎。冰心受理学影响,信奉人性善,这是她“爱的哲学”的根基之一;许地山的宗教情怀,使他树立了“生本不乐”的观念,主张乐生、顺生。精神上的差异也导致文体风格上的不同。冰心喜欢说教,许地山却热衷客观呈示。许地山比冰心显得更深刻和成熟。

Bing Xin and Xu Dishan were both members of the Association of Literary Studies. Both wrote ＂problem novels＂ but in different styles. Superman by Bing Xin advocates ＂love philosophy＂, an escape from the reality and a consolation story, while Laboring Spider by Xu Dishan emphasizes spiritual emancipation and salvation. Under the influence of New-Confucianism, Bing Xin believes in the good nature of mankind on which her ＂love philosophy＂ is based. Xu Di-shan＇s religious orientation makes him believe in ＂life is suffering＂ and prefers to adapt to life. Bing Xin likes preaching her ideas while Xu Dishan prefers objective presentation. In this sense, Xu Di-shan seems more mature with deep insight.
