唐僧形象经历了一个由传记《大唐大慈恩寺三藏法师传》到宋元的《大唐三藏取经诗话》、《西游记平话》、《西游记杂剧》,再到小说《西游记》的历史发展过程。在此过程中,唐僧由一个历史人物演变成一个颇具神话色彩的人物。

In this historical course, Tang Seng;s image develops from a historical figure to the one with the color of mythology.
