It is and effective teaching method to organize student discussion and communication in the English class.This paper, based on the constructive theory,illustrates two types of classroom discussions-teacher-student discussion and student-student discussion-on the principles of equality, interest,cooperation and supervision,the ways to organize the students and direct them in their discussions,and expounds the advantages of these activities as well.
