Developing Higher Education and Constructing Socialist Harmonious Society

发展高等教育,是构建社会主义和谐社会的必然要求;是有利于缩小贫富差距的重要手段,也是构建社会主义和谐社会的重要措施之一;是促进人的全面发展的重要途径之一,体现了构建社会主义和谐社会的根本出发点;构建社会主义和谐社会的具体目标需要高等教育的发展;高等教育的改革与发展有利于研究和传播社会主义和谐社会理论。高等教育承担着促进全面建设小康社会,为经济建设和社会发展服务的重任,在构建社会主义和谐社会中具有特殊的意义。

The development of higher education is an elementary requirement for the construction of socialist harmonious society. It is a means of great significance of narrowing the distance between the rich and poor, constructing socialist harmonious society, and promoting people＇s all-round development. With it, the fundamental starting point of the construction of socialist harmonious society is reflected, and the fulfillment of specific aims of this task would be facilitated. Reform and development of higher education are beneficial to the research on the theory of constructing socialist harmonious society and the publicity of it. Higher education plays a special role in this construction in that it undertakes the responsibility of promoting the establishment of a well-off society in an all- round way and providing service for economic construction and social development.
