人本主义作为与科学主义并行不悖的价值观主张,在社会学乃至整个社会科学研究中具有重要的指导意义,其作用为心理学所重视。功能主义则是社会学理论的重要派别,而且成为社会学研究的重要方法论指导。但是在社会问题研究中,离开了人本主义和对人的需要的重视,社会系统的功能,便失去了作用的对象。离开了人的价值、人的权利和尊严,社会发展和社会学研究也找不到自己的方向。
