Several routes for synthesizing 2,5-diaminobenzenesulphonic acid are introduced. Using 2-amino-5-nitrobenzenesulphonic acid as raw material 2,5-diaminobenzenesulphonic acid is synthesized by iron powder reduction or with Pd/C catalytic hydrogenation, then by acetoacetylation with diketene, 2,5-bis（N-acetoacetylamino） benzenesulphonic acid is gained with total yield of 81% and purity of 98%.
