This article states the features of glass fiber industry developed in the course of more than 60 years since the commercialization in late 1930s, introduces the growth of China＇s glass fiber industry during the 10th Five-Year Plan and discusses the opportunities for its further growth in the llth Five-Year Plan. In particular, it discusses the developments of such products as knitted fabric, wet-formed mat, coated fabric, continuous strand mat and needled mat in China as well as the developments of glass fiber products in Saint-Gobain Group as reference.
