摘要
本文通过梳理材料,描述了20世纪初期,一批清华学堂学生留学美国,形成近似的文化观念,而后回国在六朝故都展开文化理念的实践,参与当时思想进程;文中对其主要成员的人缘关系、交往始末、思想背景作了初步分析。本文期望突出近现代文化思想形成乃至展开中的体制(如现代教育与学术机构)等因素,传达出传统与现代、本土与域外、精神与制度等之间关系的复杂性之万一。
This paper gives a description of a group of students from Tsinghua School in the late 1910s and the early 1920s. It discusses their formation of cultural concept, their cultural practice and participation as well as their relations and ideological backgrounds. It aims to reveal the formation of China's modern cultural concept, the key institutions and the relationships between tradition and modernity, between the local and the foreign as well as between spirit and institution.
