Development research of the metacognitive strategies employed by English majors

本文通过调查英语专业学生在不同学习阶段的元认知策略，探讨了这些学生的元认知策略发展状态。得出的结论为：第一，学习者的元认知策略在这3年中朝着积极的方向发展，其中选择注意力、自我管理、自我监控和自我评估等策略发展最为有效；第二，在不同的学习阶段，学习者使用的元认知策略在程度和内容上都有差异。

With the development research carried out on the metacognitive strategies employed by English majors, the paper probes into the development condition of these strategies. The following conclusions are thus drawn： first, learners have developed the metacognitive strategies positively, especially in terms of selective attention, serf-management, self-monitoring and self-evaluation; second, at the different proficiency levels, the metacognitive strategies learners employ vary in contents and degree.
