从研究方法和内容上看,20世纪的艾米莉.狄金森研究具有三大特征,即传记式研究、文化历史语境研究和文本研究。文章论述了艾米莉.狄金森的生活与诗歌的关系、与文化历史传统的关系,以及诗歌文本的语言特点。
The prosperous and fruitful Emily Dickinson study in 20th century, with regard to its approaches and content, cherishes three characteristics which are the employment of biological, cultural and historical, and textual approaches to take respectively a survey of the relationship between Emily Dickinson＇s life and her poetry, Emily Dickinson＇s association with her cultural and historical traditions, and lastly, the linguistic features of her poetry.
