In this paper, an implicit-explicit upwind difference scheme for the first-order Iinear hyperbolic equations is proposed on the basis of the idea of alternatively using explicit scheme and implicitscheme. This scheme possesses the advantage of both explicit and implicit schemes, that is, it has thegood stability and convenient computation. The effect of the scheme is shown by numerical examples.
