摘要
本文分析对比了集群系统中几种主要的高性能通信系统:Myrinet,Infiniband和Quadrics。在硬件方面对比了链路、交换设备与主机适配器,指出各自的组成与特点。在软件方面则描述了各自的软件实现:Myrinet/GM,In-finiband/VAPI以及Quadrics/Elanlib的主要特点和功能。最后给出各个系统的实际性能,结果表明Infiniband系统性能高,结构简单,对应的体系结构具有良好的前景。
In this paper, several famous high performance cluster communication systems, Myrinet, Infiniband and Quadrics are compared and analyzed in hardware and software. For hardware issues, the physical link, network switch and host bus adaptor are compared and analyzed in component and characteristic. For software issues, the software package for each system, Myrinet/GM, Infiniband/VAPI and Quadrics/Elanlib are compared and analyzed in characteristic and function. Finally, based on the practical performance benchmark result, the Infiniband system has high performance, simple structure and the Infiniband Architecture can be employed widely in different fields.
