摘要
人类基因组计划完成以后,小鼠的基因组计划也相继完成,但这仅仅是人类探索生命奥秘的重要一步,科学家将对基因组进行更加深入的研究,破译不同基因的功能,为人类战胜疾病、提高生命质量提供参考。大规模诱变、转基因动物、基因剔除是研究基因功能的重要技术,但是用这些技术逐一研究30000多个基因的功能是几乎不可能的任务。在研究30000多个基因生物学功能的任务中,科学家拥有了一个新工具,基因陷阱技术。这是一种导致小鼠体内大量基因发生突变,借此确定这些基因功能与表型关系的一种技术方法。
The Mouse Genome Project has been completed after the Human Genome Project (HGP), but it is only one of the steps for unlocking the mystery of life. The scientists have been working on functional analysis for the genome to seek the rules to health care and overcoming diseases. A number of techniques, such as transgenic animal, gene knockout, large-scale mutagenesis have been applying to functional analysis of genes. But using those techniques, it is even impossible to complete the functional analysis for more than 30000 genes. A new tool, gene trap, has dramatically increased the scientists' ability to finish this tremendous task. In this review, the gene trap technique and information of the related data bank were summarized.
