基于提升方案的运动补偿时域滤波技术

摘要 运动补偿时域滤波(Motion-compensated temporal filtering,MCTF)将若干连续的视频帧组成一个图像组(Group of pictures,GOP)进行时域小波分解,与图像组大小固定的结构相比,自适应图像组结构(Adaptive GOPstructure,AGS)提高了编码效率,但实现复杂度也大大增加.作者提出了一种改进的自适应图像组结构(Im-proved adaptive GOP structure,IAGS),利用帧间预测效果来判断视频序列的时域变化特性,时域变化快的序列采用小尺寸图像组,反之采用大尺寸图像组.结果表明,IAGS的编码性能与AGS基本一致,实现复杂度与固定图像组结构相当. A group of pictures (GOP) consisted of several successive frames was decomposed by motion-compensated temporal filtering (MCTF) to support temporal scalability by using subband/wavelet transform. Compared with ftxed-size COP, adaptive COP structure (AGS) could improve the coding performance, but its complexity increased extremely. An improved adaptive COP structure (IAGS) was proposed in this dissertation. The main idea of lAGS was to estimate the sequence's temporal characters by the aid of inter-prediction, which was to adopt the large size of COP when its temporal features were changing fast, otherwise the small size of COP was used. The experimental results showed that, IAGS would be competitive with AGS on the coding efficiency, with the same complexity as the fixed-size COP had.
