历史反思和罪责问题的讨论一直是战后德国文学的一个重要主题。本文借助新历史主义的研究成果,从文学与历史、历史与作家等关系问题入手对德国作家鸟韦·蒂姆的小说《以我哥哥为例证》加以介绍和分析,论述作家以文学文本叙述历史、反思历史的独特方式,揭示贯穿作品始末的主题——罪责与回忆。

This paper introduces and analyzes a modern German novel, Am Beipiel meines Bruders, which was published in 2003, from the perspective of New Historicism. Historical reflection is regarded as one of the important themes in the German postwar literature, which is also the subject of this novel. In this paper we will employ the theories of new historicism to assess Timm＇s aesthetic and thematic concerns, and in return, to make these theories embedded in practical textual analysis.
