Integration of Globalization and Localization

针对国内建筑界有关“国际化第一性,本土化第二性”的说法,本文主要以欧洲文化理论界对全球化、本土化问题的理论阐述为基础,结合欧洲在建筑、规划方面的实践经验,并回顾了中国建筑和中国文化转型的历史,力求证明中国建筑的转型必须走“全球化、本土化”一体化的道路。

Based on the European achievements of globalization study in theory and that of architecture and urban planning in practice, the thesis reviewed the re-orientation of Chinese culture as well as Chinese architecture, and focused on the point that globalization is a process though localization and the localization also though globalization. Therefore, it＇s a natural choice to integrate worldwide technological skills and local identity in the study of architecture. Besides, the thesis remarked the opinion of Internationaliation first and then Localization.
