Sadly, not many zoological gardens in the world achieve what their mission statements oblige them to： both an educational experience and a conservation effort. And, although entertainment has for long been dismissed as a minor factor in modern zoo management, it growingly makes its way back to the front line, as administrations face falling numbers of visitors.
