本文介绍了低温条件下，金属设备或构件脆性破坏的一些分析结果，认为破坏的根源在于金属设备或构件的低温韧性。为此，较为全面地讨论和阐述了一系列影响金属低温韧性的因素，为一定条件下，改进低温设备设计质量，改善低温设备工作状况，有效防止其脆性破坏，提供了良好的理论参考。

In order to help raise design quality of low-temperatUre equipment,imprQve its operating Performance and effectively prevent brittle break,this paper all-sidedly examines all factors having an effect on metal toughness at low temperature. Analysis results indicate that brittle break of medal equipment or components is due to low-temperature toughness break of metal equipment or components.
