从1株吸水链霉菌StreptomyceshygroscopicusLP－93的培养物中，经溶媒萃取、正相及反相硅胶柱层析、凝胶过滤、制备TLC等方法分离到2个新多羟基大环内配类抗生素．即被拉霉素A和B。波拉霉素具有较强的抗真菌活性，对许多引起植物病害的真菌有较好的抑制活性。波拉霉素A、B均属于多羟基大环内酯类抗生素，但理化性质及结构不同于已知结构的多羟基大林内酯类抗生素。

New antifungal antibiotics, polaramycins A and B, have been isolatedfrom the culture of Str. hygroscoPtYus LP-93, by solvent extraction, normal and reverse-phase chromatography, gel filtration, preparative TLC etc., pure polaramycins A and Bwere obtained.Polaramycins are broad spectrum antifungal antibiotics. They are active against yeastand filamentous fungi, in particular, they have-very good activity against fufigi which causeserious plant desease- Polaramycins A and B belong to polyol macrolide group antibiotics.Based on physico-chemical properties and spectral evidences, polaramycins A and B can bedifferentiated from known structure polyol macrolides.
