摘要
标题是新闻的眼睛。本文以2006德国世界杯为个案,结合大量实例对英文足球新闻标题的语言艺术进行赏析,并在此基础上探讨其翻译,以期丰富汉语足球新闻标题的表达。
This paper makes a case study of the headlines of the sports news covering World Cup 2006. Following an analysis of their linguistic and artistic features, the author argues for similar strategies to be used in composing headlines of Chinese sports news.
