Reflections on Jinan's Old Commercial District Renewal

济南商埠区的建立,在济南城市社会发展史上具有划时代的意义。然而,随着社会、经济、文化等的发展,商埠区出现功能不齐备、结构不合理、风貌破坏严重、活力下降等问题,其生存和发展面临严峻挑战。应采取转换方式、激活功能、增强特色、提升品位等措施,促进商埠区的更新和改造。

The building of Jinan old commercial district is epoch-making in Jinan＇s history. With the development of society, economics, and culture, the old commercial district has developed problems of incomplete function, improper structure, destroyed feature, and vanishing of vitality, which has already threaten its survival and development. Measures such as development pattern transition, functional vitalization, characteristic intensification, and quality promotion shall be adopted to boost the renewal of the old commercial district.
