Norwich on its way to becoming an even bigger and better city

Norwich is thriving. The city continues to attract public and pri- vate investment and has the capacity, and desire, to become an even bigger and better city. In recent years Norwich has been transformed through a programmee of construction projects, representing investment of over ￡ 1 billion. The economy in greater Norwich is set to grow; predictions suggest that by 2021 there will be an additional 35,000 jobs in the Norwich sub - region and between 13 - 14,000 new homes in the Norwich local authority area alone. Nationally, the Government is driving housing and jobs growth in the greater South East through its Sustainable Communities Plan.
