A language learning can not be separated from its culture learning. It＇s very important to introduce the English backgrounds to the students in vocational colleges and to make them be cross -cultural consciousness. The paper points out we can improve students cross -cultural communication ability when attaching importance to the introduction of the language culture when teaching a foreign language.
