前所未有的发展机遇在改革开放大潮的推动下,我国的航空货运得到了较快的发展,特别是近几年,航空货运量平均每年以20%的速度增长:1993年为60多万吨,1994年超过80万吨,1995年超过100万吨,1996年将超过120万吨.为什么会有这么快的发展?最近,笔者通过对民航总局有关部门和一些航空公司货运业务人员的采访了解到,近几年我国航空货运增长较快的原因,一方面是受我国经济的持续快速增长、国家产业政策调整和民航自身能力增强的影响.改革开放以来,我国经济增长速度每年超过10%,合资企业增多。

In resent years China airfreight industry has expanded at an annual grmvth rate of 20% . In 1993 the cargo traffic generated was more than 600 thousand tonnes and the figure was over 800 thousand tonnes in 1994, and in 1995 thefigure passed 1 million tonnes. Last year the cargo traffic is expected to exceed 1.2 million tonnes. Now China airfreight industry faces unprecedented opportunity and challenge. How to improve and grow China airfreight industry?CAAC believes that firstly, to set up cargo computer network as quickly as possible; secondly, to establish air cargo fare system as quickly as possible; thirdly, to found special air cargo company or organization to coordinate air cargo service and manage the industry. Some foreign carriers have already kept a close watch on China ' s huge and potentialcargo market for a long time. It is expected that the potential profit of multi - billion dollars in Pacific Rim air cargomarket will absorb strongly major airlines in the world to compete the market. From this year international air cargomarket is more and more busy. Carriers in the world are expanding air cargo capacity through upgrading aircrafttypes, improving airport infrastructure and expanding route network and flights. Foreign carriers are speeding up their pace to enter into China air cargo market. Many people in the industry call on that the State would take the following measures : 1. strengthening to monitor, check in and manage international cargo agents ; 2. setting up a whole - industry organization for air cargo services as quickly as possible to control international air freight business and keep heathy competition environment;3. establishing international air cargo computer network .
