Frost believed that poetry is a kind of way to express what life is through sounds and the meaning of a poem always contains in the ＂sounds＂of the poem＇s sentences. On the basis of that belief, he adopted the principle of ＂sentence-sound＂and gradually formed his unique poetic style. This article intends to make a further exploration to Frost＇s poetic characteristics by analyzing his famous poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.
