摘要 小波变换理论是近几年发展起来的一个新的数学分支。由于它克服了传统傅里叶变换的缺陷,具有良好的时、频局部化性能,从而使得小波理论在图像处理领域得到了广泛的应用。大部分关于数字图像处理方面的教材和论文都是以VC和MatLab软件作为图像处理的工具,本文试图从工程和实验角度出发,较为直观地探讨用JAVA语言实现基于Haar小波变换的数字图像压缩。 Wavelet Transform Theory is a new branch of mathematics, which is rapidly developing in recent years. Because it, with a performance of time and frequency localizability, gets rid of some defects of Fourier transform, wavelet analysis method has been paid more and more attention and widely used in various fields of engineering application, especially in the image processing. VC language and (or) MatLab software is used as the tool of image processing of most textbooks and papers concerning the aspect of digital image processing. The paper tries to deal with Haar Wavelet Transform based digital image compression from engineering and experimental aspects, which is realized with JAVA language.
