摘要
新闻话语建构观点的手段很多,本文只侧重从词汇选择这个层面,借鉴澳大利亚语言学家詹姆R.马丁博士所提出的评价理论,对中国《人民日报》和美国《华盛顿邮报》就联合国对伊拉克进行第二次武器核查期间伊政府表现的报道进行对比分析,旨在揭示新闻话语如何利用评价词汇建构意识形态,表达传播者主体价值观。
Among various approaches to constructing ideology in news discourse, this article elaborates on lexical choice referring to appraisal theory proposed by Australian linguist James. R. Martin. A comparative analysis is conducted on the reports of UN＇s second inspection of Iraqi Weapon crisis from domestic People＇s Daily and America based Washington Post, aiming to reveal how news discourses avail of appraisal words to construct ideology and convey communicator＇s subjective values.
