Bi Shumin is the writer with strong sense of social responsibility. Her long novel《The Red Prescription》was selected as one of the most influential ten books by 《Southern Weekend》 just after its first publication and it also obtained the award of the first Beijing Literature and Art Prize. The novel reflected the writer＇s contemplation of the desire and the meaning of life, showing her deep concern of drug addict. It also displayed her sorrowful sympathy to the weak and strong sense of salvaging the weak. The novel itself is a good prescription given to the society.
