On the Classification of Wudang Martial Art

通过文献资料、专家咨询、实地考察等研究方法以及借鉴已有的中国武术分类研究方法,在对武当武术所有的活动进行了深入系统的研究之后,我们根据其活动的群体、作用、特点等,划分为武当民间武术、武当军事武术、武当道教武术、武当武术流派,以使人们对武当武术有一个更为清晰的认识和了解,利于武当武术的推广和发展。

The authors has, through consulting documentationsand experts and first-hand investigation and benefiting from existing research methods of China martial art classification, made a systematic research on Wudang martial art and classified it as Wudang folk martial art, Wudang military martial art, Wudang Taoist martial art and Wudang martial art schools in view of its activity groups and functions, so as to help the reader get a clearer understanding of Wudang martial art and help promote the spreading and development of Wudang martial art.
