What Are the Obstacles in FLT Reform in China——A Review of ELT in China:Problems and Suggested Solutions

本文对束定芳教授撰写、上海外语教育出版社出版的《外语教学改革：问题和对策》一书进行评述。该书在立足我国国情、在深入调查研究的基础上，对我国近年来外语教学中取得的成绩、出现的问题进行了客观、全面、科学的分析，并在此基础上提出我国外语教学改革应该采取的对策。

This paper presents a descriptive review of the book ELT in China ： Problems and Suggested Solutions written by Professor Shu Ding-fang and published by Shanghai Foreign Educational Press. In this book, Professor Shu provides an objective, scientific and comprehensive analysis of the achievements and problems in ELT in China based on a series of investigation and suggests some approaches which should be adopted in ELT reform in China.
