Tchaikovsky was one of the greatest Russian musicians of the 19th century, whose works embody great achievements of romantic and nationalistic music; combining Russian folk music with European music in his compositions, he produced a large number of works, with a unique style that has been handed down from generation to generatiton. This thesis analyses Tchaikovsky＇s creative style of opera, ballet music and symphony and sums up his ingenious means of musical expression to reveal the external aesthetic feelings of melody and harmony and the grave, grieved internal ones.
