On the Reason of the Dongdan State's Foundation and Its Nature

东丹国是辽朝初年平灭海东盛国渤海后,出现在中国东北地区的一个重要地方政权。辽朝之所以在立国不久就另外建立了这个“国中之国”,是由契丹传统的国家管理体制所决定的。东丹国建立之初,具有相对独立的属国性质,南迁辽阳后,则渐次变成了辽朝的二级地方政权。

After Liao Dynasty in the first year destroyed the ＂Hal Dong Sheng Guo＂ t3o Hal, the Dongdan state as a very important local regime appeared in Northeast China. Why Liao Dynasty set up this ＂kingdom in kingdom＂ soon after its foundation is due to the Chidan＇s traditional management system. In the beginning of the Dongdan State, it already has relatively independent characters of a dependent state, but after its moving to Liaoyang city in the South, it gradually becomes the local regime only below central regime in Liao Dynasty.
