略论民本思想的形成、转化和超越

On Formation,Transformation and Exceeding of People-Centered Thinking

民本思想经历了漫长的发展过程,在不同的历史时期具有不同的时代背景、社会基础和历史作用。从古代、近代、当代三个时期,概述了民本思想的形成、转化和超越,并对民本、民主和社会主义民主的内涵,略加分别和定位,以便在建设有中国特色社会民主制度的进程中,吸取历史的精华,借鉴历史的经验。

The people-centered thinking, treasure in China＇s traditional thoughts, has played an extremely important role in the stable development of ancient Chinese society, and should be regarded as a valuable historical and cultural heritage. In its long course of development, it varied in the times, social basis and historical function in different periods. This paper discusses briefly on its formation,transformation and exceeding respectively in ancient, modem, and contemporary times, and tries to distinguish between and identify the different connotations of people-centered thinking, democracy, and socialist democracy, in the attempt to draw valuable experience from history for the construction ot socialist democratic system of Chinese characteristics.
