大量的语言材料证明,英汉语中对情感的认知和表达大多以生理现象及日常经验为基础,表现出语言间的共性;而汉英民族思维和文化的差异性又使表达情感的习语呈现出不同。

Abundant language materials indicate that the recognition and expression of compassion and emotion in both Chinese and English are mainly based on human biological phenomena and daily experiences, which demonstrates the similarities among languages. However, the different way of thinking and the cultural diversity of Chinese and English also make these expressions in idioms present differently.
